THE leader of a gang of trainee terrorists shouted at police to "come and get me", a court was told.
Mohammed Hamid, 50, was allegedly overheard by an undercover officer as they drove past Paddington Green high security police station.
Woolwich Crown Court was told that Hamid yelled: "Here is your terrorist. I'm here, come and get me."
The men were travelling back from a trip to the New Forest where they had practised military drills, it was said. The officer, who infiltrated the group, also attended the camp.
Five men from London are on trial accused of links to a plot to conduct terrorist training camps in the UK. David Farrell QC, prosecuting, said yesterday that the men undertook exercises during the trip while pretending to hold guns.
Footage of an earlier visit to the New Forest, shot by one member on his mobile phone, was shown to the jury. It showed a group of men, and what appeared to be a young boy, undertaking forward rolls and crawling across the ground.
Mr Farrell told the jury: "The prosecution say these video clips show basic military training. Training which prepared them for further military training. It forms the first part of their terrorist training."
Hamid, of Clapton, denies providing weapons and terrorist training, soliciting murder and possessing terrorist documents. Mousa Brown, 41, of Walthamstow, denies providing and receiving weapons training.
Kibley Da Costa, 24, of West Norwood, denies providing and attending terrorist training and possessing terrorist documents.
Mohammed Al-Figari, 42, of Tottenham, denies attending terrorist training and possessing terrorist information. Kader Ahmed, 20, of Plaistow, denies attending terrorist training. The trial continues.
