Ninia Benjamin, Christian Reilly and Glen Wool at the Funnybone Comedy Club
IT could have been an amazing evening. Unfortunately one heckler went too far and ruined the flow of three very talented comedians.
Ninia Benjamin, star of BBC2's Three Non-Blondes, set the tone with her dirty graphic humour. She worked the difficult crowd and by the end of her set had everyone in stitches or gob-smacked.
Musical comedian Christian Reilly told us he joined a band to get girls, but the Salvation Army had other ideas! His genius, quick wit, fabulous impressions, and musical talent were sensational. When one heckler demanded Paranoid Sheep, he was able to play Black Sabbath and create lyrics to match.
The main act, Glen Wool from Canada, was a hit with his edgy observational comedy. Even when the heckler went too far, he worked it into the act.
In the middle he unfortunately picked current affairs topics which appeared to go over the heads of the audience, but clawed it back again to finish on a high.
