A MAN has been treated in hospital for a bleed on his brain after being kicked in the head during an assault in central Bournemouth.
Police say the 20-year-old victim, who also suffered a fractured eye socket and cheek bone in the attack, is not believed to be in a life-threatening condition.
Now officers have launched an appeal for witnesses or anyone with information.
Dorset Police were called to reports of an assault outside Bar So, Exeter Road, Bournemouth, around 11.10pm on Saturday, April 20.
It was reported an altercation had occurred involving a group of four men, and that one of them had been punched, causing him to fall to the ground, then kicked in the head.
Detective Constable Neil Jones, of Bournemouth CID, said: "The victim of this assault was left with nasty injuries and we are carrying out a number of enquiries to identify the man responsible.
"I understand there were a number of people in the area at the time of the incident and I would urge any witnesses who have not already spoken to police to contact us."
