THE first ever Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council elections saw no party hold overall control of the authority after residents went to the polls on Thursday.
An extensive counting procedure of 97,768 verified votes made across the 33 wards – a turnout of 33.13 per cent – took place at the BIC.
The vote delivered 36 Conservative, 15 Liberal Democrat, 11 Independent, seven Poole People, three Labour, two Green Party, one Alliance for Local Living and one UKIP councillor to sit on BCP Council.
