AN event to promote Mental Health Awareness Week will be held at Bournemouth railway station on Tuesday May 14.
Dr Andrew Mayers, Principal Academic in psychology at Bournemouth University, will join forces with numerous organisations to host information stands about the mental health services available in Dorset.
They include Dorset Mind, Dorset Healthcare, Acts Fast, The Shores, Dorset Parent Infant Partnership (DorPip) and the Samaritans.
There will also be some musical entertainment from Calvin Glen, a young ambassador for Dorset Mind, and well known on the Dorset music scene.
Dr Mayers said: “This is the fourth annual event we have run at Bournemouth station. It is a great opportunity to raise awareness about what great support we have for mental health across Dorset.
“We are looking forward to engaging with commuters to let them know that we are here for them.”
