BOURNEMOUTH ladies occupy a lofty third spot in the Slazenger National South Division after a double triumph over Firebrands and Woking.
Kelly Taylor's second-half brace secured a 2-1 win over Firebrands in Bristol.
And she was on the mark again with a sixth-minute opener in a 4-0 victory over Woking at Chapel Gate.
The other goals came from Lara Kent, Emily Bloor and Katrina Nicholls.
BOURNE LOSE DERBY
A FOUR-goal first-half blitz by Hampshire/Surrey Regional League neighbours Southampton condemned Bournemouth's men to defeat.
They had gone into the game in high spirits off the back of last week's 1-0 win over Old Kingstonians, but were rocked by Southampton's slick counter-attacking play and went down 4-0.
"Their clinical finishing was the difference. We probably had as much of the ball and possibly more chances, but couldn't find the net," admitted Bournemouth's Pete Larcombe.
WINNING WAYFARERS
WIMBORNE top the Hampshire League table with a perfect three-match winning record after two disputed goals saw the Wayfarers beat Alton 3-2.
Simon Ridley, Luke Scott and Tim Jones were all on target.
- Swanage and Wareham Ladies teams claimed maximum points from home matches last weekend.
The first team were 5-2 winners against Westberries after doubles from Liz Lawler and Julie Coslett, while Kate Black got the other goal.
And the second string overcame Salisbury thirds 2-1 after goals from Holly Gamble and Kirsty Harvey.
