FIREFIGHTERS rushed to a blaze at a nature reserve in Poole on Saturday afternoon.
The fire at Alder Hills Nature Reserve was reported to the fire service at 4.08pm.

The fire involving an area of heathland measured 75x100m.
Fire engines from Redhill Park and Springbourne attended along with three Land Rovers from Poole, Ferndown and Hamworthy and the Unimog from Wareham.

Initially, Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said an area of heathland measuring 40mx40m was “well alight”.
Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said the fire was extinguished using six hoses and one mainline.
The fire was surrounded by around 5.30pm.
Crews eventually left the scene after 9pm after damping down the area.
Firefighters from Redhill Park have revisited the site this morning as a precaution.
Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said the firefighters were spraying the area with water.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
