WIMBORNE Wayfarers lost their lead at the top of Hampshire Division One after crashing to a 4-1 defeat at Weymouth.

Martin Miah drew the East Dorset side level after a Weymouth penalty corner had put them behind early on.

But, despite their first-half fight back, Wayfarers had no answer as three more Weymouth strikes in the second period condemned them to defeat.

The third team, meanwhile, shared eight goals with New Milton, while the fourth string put in a spirited performance despite going down 3-2 against Aldershot & Farnham at Queen Elizabeth's.

  • POOLE responded to last week's defeat at the hands of Portsmouth and Southsea by edging out Tadley 4-2.

Rob Murray put Poole in front but Tadley bounced back to take a 2-1 lead into the break.

But Murray got his side back in it after the restart, before some sublime attacking play took Poole clear at 4-2.

  • BOURNEMOUTH star Will Eveleigh bagged all four goals as the Chapel Gaters saw off Old Edwardians 4-2.
