THE 12th annual Bournemouth Air Festival is now just days away.

As we countdown to take-off, here's a guide to what's lined-up for this year's event which organisers have said will feature more new displays than ever.

The festival takes place Thursday, August 29, to Sunday, September 1.

RAF Typhoon 

Bournemouth Echo:

The Eurofighter Typhoon is taking part in the event for the first time since 2016. Pilot Flight Lieutenant Jim Peterson will also be flying a special dusk display on the Friday night. 

The Saab Draken - New for 2019

The Saab Draken will be making its Air Festival debut and was the first fully supersonic aircraft to be deployed in Western Europe.

The Canadair T-33 Silver Star - New for 2019

Ultimate Warbird Flights - New for 2019

The Ultimate Warbird Flights will be showcasing their dog-fighting skills in a collection of aircraft, including a Hispano Buchon, Mustang, Supermarine Spitfire and Republic P-47 Thunderbolt. 

The stellar line up will recreate close range aerial combat.

The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight

After a three-year absence, the Lancaster returns completing the full Battle of Britain Memorial Flight line up alongside the Hurricane and Spitfire

Super Pitts Muscle Plane

RAF Chinook

Aerosuperbatics Wingwalkers

The world's only formation wingwalking team!

Tigers Parachute Display Team

Bournemouth Echo:

The Tigers will be dropping from the skies onto Bournemouth beach once again with smoke trailing and flags flying as they go

Royal Navy Black Cats Helicopter Display Team

Bournemouth Echo:

The Black Cats team were last seen at Bournemouth Air Festival in 2016

Night Air

New for this year, the Eurofighter Typhoon will be doing a special dusk display, you'll also be able to see the following aircraft take to the skies

Fireflies

Bournemouth Echo:

The stunning FireFlies Aerobatic Display Team will let up the skies once again with their breath-taking pyrotechnic display

Otto the helicopter

Bournemouth Echo:

The little helicopter with the big personality piloted by Brendan O’Brien will this year be joined by a Piper Cub G-BPCF

Red Devils Parachute Team

The Red Devils will be jumping from up to 10,000 feet with flares attached to each of the parachutists boots
