EXCITING raffle prizes, famous pop stars and a three-course meal are on the bill as a hotel hosts an evening of events in aid of Diabetes UK.
There will be appearances by the Cheeky Girls, Bucks Fizz, Friday Hill (the offshoot of Blazing Squad), X-Factor winner Steve Brookstein and Connie Talbot from Britain's Got Talent.
Raffle prizes include a hospitality pack for four at AFC Bournemouth, a trip to Jersey with Condor Ferries, signed photos from the Harry Potter set, perfume, cinema tickets, aerial photos of your home and more.
There will also be a speech by Richard Lane OBE, the first person to have a stem cell transplant for diabetes.
"He is living proof of the benefits of supporting research, because without medical advances he wouldn't be here today," said Iris Board, 46, the organiser, from Parkstone. Her son Shane is an actor and singer and has diabetes.
Pop for Diabetes will be at the Marsham Court Hotel in Bournemouth on Saturday, November 3.
Tickets are £35, or £30 for bookings of 10, and large bookings are open to negotiation over prices and any offers of support.
Tickets are from the hotel on 01202 446644 or from the Tourist Information Centre on 0845 051 1700.
