IN THE fourth instalment of the franchise, directed once again by Darren Lynn Bousman, evil and twisted Jigsaw (Tobin Bell) and his apprentice Amanda (Shawnee Smith) are dead but their legacy of terror continues.
Detective Hoffman (Costas Mandylor) takes charge of the investigation into the murder of Detective Kerry (Dina Meyer), one of the key officers in apprehending Jigsaw. Assisted by two FBI profilers, agents Strahm (Scott Patterson) and Perez (Athena Karkanis), Hoffman begins to piece together evidence revealing Jigsaw's twisted genius.
The police face one final game of life and death when SWAT Commander Rigg (Lyriq Bent) is abducted and thrust into a maze of Jigsaw's fiendish traps, with just 90 minutes to save his life.
Caught in a race against time to save their stricken colleague, Hoffman, Strahm and Perez expose the puppet master's true intentions, leading to an encounter with Jigsaw's ex-wife Jill (Betsy Russell) that has chilling repercussions for the future.
