A YOUNG driver caught with more than 15 times the legal amount of party drug ecstasy in his system has been banned from the roads.
Louis Coulling was just 19 when he was pulled over in Commercial Road, Poole on March 9.
Police who stopped his Renault Clio discovered he had 165 micrograms of ecstasy, also known as MDMA, per litre of his blood. The limit is ten micrograms, making him 16-and-a-half times the limit.
Last week, Coulling, now 20, appeared at Poole Magistrates' Court to admit drug driving.
The defendant, who lives in Sharlands Close, Broadstone, was fined £288 and ordered to pay a £30 surcharge and £85 costs.
He was also disqualified from driving for 12 months.
