POLICE are hunting two teenagers who shot at a woman with an air gun during a fire station open day.
The incident occurred at Ringwood Fire Station in Christchurch Road, Ringwood, at around 1pm on Saturday when the victim - a woman aged in her 20s was hit in the leg with a pellet from an air gun.
The air ambulance was called to the scene but the woman was treated at the scene for a grazed leg and did not need to be transported to hospital.
Two boys aged between 12 and 14 years old were seen riding away from the scene on BMX bikes shortly after the incident.
Hampshire Police said a youth was apprehended a short while later but was released after police failed to find an air gun on him.
Loretta Spridgeon spokesman for Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service, said: "There was an altercation at the station during a charity car wash that Ringwood Fire Station were conducting.
"It happened at lunch time. Police are now involved."
