Hot-shot Simon Ridley set a new Wimborne Wayfarers record by scoring six times in his side's 9-1 demolition of Portsmouth University in Hampshire Division One.
Previous record-holder Paul Randall scored the other three goals as Wayfarers move up to second place in the table behind leaders Hamble on goal difference.
Other scores: Basingstoke 2 Wayfarers 2nds 3 (Tillard 2, Thomasson), Wayfarers 3rds 5 Trojans 1 (Braddock 3, Clarke, Thorp).
- Wimborne's ladies paid the penalty for their lack of incisiveness in the opposition circle, losing 1-0 to Salisbury in Channel Division One.
The ladies' seconds team, meanwhile, move up to second in Division Two following their 5-1 win over Swanage with Kate Gerrard (2), Becca Ings (2) and Toni Mynard on target for the Wayfarers.
BECKY'S GOAL IN VAIN
BECKY Scroggie was the Swan-age and Wareham ladies' scorer in their 4-1 reverse at home to Yeovil in the Central League.
Scroggie was the only player net a succession of chances as the visitors took a narrow 2-1 lead at the interval before pressing home their advantage in the second half.
The men's team chalked up an impressive 3-1 win over previously unbeaten New Milton.
