CHRISTCHURCH fell silent earlier on Sunday to honour the town's fallen from both world wars and subsequent military engagements.
The traditional Remembrance Sunday service, attended by members of the armed forces, veterans and civic dignitaries, started at Purewell Cross War Memorial in the morning.
Afterwards a parade, from the Royal British Legion (RBL) premises in Bargates, proceeded through the town centre to the Priory Church.
Two minute's silence took place during the service.
Afterwards, the parade – which was well-supported by the community – reformed and marched back to the RBL hall.
