4. Candlelit Christmas Celebration Sunday, December 15: St Ambrose Church in West Cliff Road will be illuminated by candles as the renowned La Nova Singers perform festive tunes and carols. Starts at 7.30pm.

Dorset’s disability charity Diverse Abilities hosts its Christmas Carols Concert at Wimborne Minster on Wednesday, December 18: There will traditional carols and celebrity appearances followed by homemade mince pies and a drinks reception after the concert. 9. BSO’s Christmas Carols, Monday, December 23: Enjoy singing your favourite carols accompanied by the BSO and Bournemouth Sinfonietta Choir at Lighthouse Poole.
10. Luminos community choir's Christmas concert at St. Aldhelm's Church, Wednesday, December 11: A mix of Christmas music and well-known songs from many genres as well as original compositions by the choir's musical director Sammy Hurden. The concert starts at 8pm and is part of the Shining Branches Christmas Tree Festival.
