THE best things may come in small packages, but rarely do the strongest. But one Poole teenager is out to prove that while small may be beautiful, it can also be incredibly strong.

Chloe Lambeth, 17, of Alderney, has found time in a busy schedule of A-Level studies and part-time work to win a national title and break Commonwealth records.

The Poole teenager took gold at the four nations powerlifting championships in Scotland last week. Her national title follows a record-breaking performance last month at the sub-junior world championships in France.

But if all that wasn't impressive enough, Chloe has achieved her success by lifting more than twice her own bodyweight, and while her achievements may be big, she isn't. The tiny teenager is 5ft 1ins tall and weighs just six stones.

But Chloe's record-breaking performance in the deadlift saw her lift 112.5kg - more than 15 stones.

Now Chloe, who puts in five training sessions a week at Bournemouth Athletics Club, hopes to add a European title to her four nations and Commonwealth titles when she competes in Slovakia with the seniors next year.
