I AM sure I would make a really good superwarden'.
After all, what could be a better way of spending your day than leaping tall buildings to get to the perpetrators of all my favourite pet hates?
People who throw cigarette butts on the floor? Kapow!
Drivers who throw litter (and butts) out of the windows of their cars? Ka-boom!
And those irritating blokes who park their cars on double yellow lines next to Bournemouth Square every day just so they can hand out flyers? Ka-wallop!
Granted, the true job title of civil enforcement officers doesn't quite have the same ring to it, but for the people who live and work in and around Bournemouth town centre, their role will prove to be very important.
It is vital that during the coming years, Bournemouth proves that it is capable and hard-nosed enough not to have good environmental work ruined by the many people who simply don't care. It's sometimes the small things that can hurt a town and now's the time to be tough.
And if that means it costing me £30 every so often - as it did last week when I left my car on the street near our office at 4.45am and forgot to move it by 10am - I'll take the financial pain it if it means the usual suspects aren't getting away with it.
