TEN years ago in January, Dorset was blanketed with snow.
At least 135 schools across Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch were closed with just two schools open in the western part of the New Forest.

The Met Office had issued a warning for heavy snow and widespread icy roads for Dorset and Hampshire.
Yellow weather warnings have been issued for Bournemouth, Christchurch, Poole and the rest of the county up until Sunday for ice and snow.
The first warning for snow and ice is in force from 4pm on Friday until 10.30am on Saturday morning.
Bournemouth-based forecaster DorsetSnow said conditions “look favourable” for wintry weather on Sunday and “most areas” of Dorset could see their first accumulations of snow for the season.
