- There was an incident at Bournemouth University this afternoon, with claims a campus is on 'lockdown'
- Police received an initial report which suggested a man could have been seeing wearing something that resembled a suicide vest in the area of the Boundary roundabout near to Bournemouth University
- As a precaution, the university was placed on lockdown as searches of the area were carried out
- Officers attended the scene and undertook an investigation, including a review of CCTV footage
- It was established that it was believed to be someone running in a fitness vest.
- Students have now been allowed to leave the Talbot Campus
- Armed police were among the emergency services seen at the campus this afternoon
- The NPAS helicopter was also reported
- There were unconfirmed reports a man 'covered in blood' tried to get into the student union building
