IT WAS the moment Peckham's best-known wheeler-dealer was reunited with his famous three-wheel van.
Sir David Jason, who played Del Boy Trotter in Only Fools and Horses, visited the iconic vehicle while filming a sequence for his new TV series, Great British Inventions.
The bright yellow van is still emblazoned with the words "Trotters Independent Trading Co, New York, Paris, Peckham".
Sir David, 79, describes it as a "symbol of great British eccentricity".
The car is one of several film and TV vehicles on show at the National Motor Museum in Beaulieu, New Forest.
As well as inspecting the van he took the world's smallest production car - the diminutive Peel P50 - for a test drive in the museum grounds.
Beaulieu spokesperson Jane Riddiford said: “David delighted visitors who gathered to watch him.
"He had everyone laughing as he clambered in and out of the Peel P50. He didn’t enjoy driving it but did like being reunited with the Reliant Regal Supervan from only Only Fools and Horses.
“This is the second time that David has filmed with us recently.
"In another series he filmed scenes for David Jason’s Secret Service at Palace House and discovered more about Beaulieu’s role as a finishing school for secret agents during the Second World War."
Great British Inventions is a four-part series being screened on More4.
