NEW York rock act We Are Scientists aim to bring more than music to their university tour which arrives in Bournemouth later this month.
The band of budding boffins claim to be offering students a chance to "make their lives nearly 100 per cent better, in almost all ways".
The band say they will be offering their own self-improvement seminar, Brain Thrust Mastery, alongside their acclaimed live music performances.
"Everyone grows up with an idea of where they'd like to end up one day," explains Keith Murray, WAS's guitarist and lead singer. "For some it's as vague as I want a bunch of kids' - others have it planned out to the brand and shade of the car they want in their garage.
"Ninety-nine per cent of the time, that idea fades away under the harsh light of life's frustrations and disappointments. We created Brain Thrust Mastery as a way to help people not only colour in that original plan, but to add exciting embellishments that, as a small child, they might never have imagined for themselves."
They play Bournemouth University on November 22.
Meanwhile, the band have jettisoned their drummer, the aptly named Michael Tapper. A statement from the band simply says: "Michael Tapper has relinquished his duties as drummer of We Are Scientists in order to pursue other things". Ooh er!
