HOWEVER dismissive you want to be of McFly - assembled from the leftovers of the Busted auditions etc - you can't take away the fact they've trotted out more than the average boy band's share of quality pop. Consider also that, including the three he co-wrote for Busted, singer Tom Fletcher has penned more British number ones than Robbie Williams or Queen. And all before he turned 21.
Five Colours in Your Hair, Obviously, All About You, Room on the Third Floor - they're starting to sound like cheeky chappy pop songs we've known all our lives. Things get more musically interesting on recent hits like Transylvania; although obligatory new song, The Way You Make Me Feel, is a sappy slice of bland acoustic strums. The other newie, The Heart Never Lies, is a bit iffy as well.
