HIP-hop superstar 50 Cent exploded into Bourne-mouth last night as part of his European tour promoting his third album, Curtis.
Accompanied by fellow G-Unit member Lloyd Banks and DJ Whookid, "Fiddy" ripped in to My Gun Go Off to a video backdrop of his native New York interspersed with scenes from The Godfather and Scarface.
In a move that is becoming more prevalent in hip-hop acts, a live band appeared to provide extra kick to many tracks, and boy could you feel it, with bass lines reverberating inside your ribcage and gunshot effects causing people to visibly jump.
Dressed in the regulation rap uniform of baggy jeans, oversized T-shirt and baseball cap, 50 whipped through several tracks in quick succession, including current single Ayo Technology before leaving the stage to change shirt, giving Banks a moment in the spotlight.
Returning, 50 went into "playa" mode with Candy Shop and Just a Li'l Bit. The stage was soon awash with numerous bras as well as, bizarrely, a freshly cut off pony-tail.
After another quick change and a Banks solo, complete with more face-melting flame bursts, 50 hit the home straight.
Comprising mainly tracks from his first album Get Rich Or Die Tryin', this part of the set got the biggest reaction, with the loudest screams reserved for the superb encore of In Da Club.
Leaving the stage stripped to the waist after throwing various garments into the audience, 50 can rest assured he gave the crowd what they wanted... and more.
