DORSET Police were called to Ambury Lane in Christchurch following damage caused to a vehicle parked on the road by a catapult.
Three windows of the vehicle were smashed with pellets fired from a handheld catapult on Friday February 21.
Following a post put out on Facebook, residents of Christchurch said they had seen similar damage caused to a roadside mirror on Burley Road in Winkton.
A police spokesman said: “It was reported that between 3pm and 3.45pm on Friday 21 February 2020 damage was caused to three windows of a vehicle parked on Ambury Lane in Christchurch.
“Enquiries are ongoing into the report. No arrests have been made.”
