ACTING on behalf of Donald and Phillip Stevens, Goadsby has sold D P Hair Design in Wimborne to Andrea Gatefield for £40,000.
The premises, in Quarterjack Mews, comprise a ground-floor salon with a net sales area of 503 square feet and a staff room.
Established in 1966 by brothers Donald and Phillip Stevens, D P Hair Design grew from strength to strength and has a thriving customer base. Donald and Phillip have decided to sell due to retirement.
Andrea Gatefield, who has renamed the salon Riva Hair Design, has been working within the hair and beauty industry for 30 years, having trained at Vidal Sassoon.
She said she had realised a dream in owning her own salon.
"The salon's warm, friendly atmosphere created by the retired long-standing owners was a large selling point and I will be looking to maintain and expand this.
"I would like to thank Goadsby and its staff for introducing me to Wimborne's best-kept secret and making a career long dream a reality."
