Five crews tackle gorse fire at Winfrith Heath
FIVE crews battled a heath fire and a drone was used to check hotspots at Winfrith Heath last night.
Crews from Wareham, Bere Regis, Dorchester, Poole and Weymouth were called at 8.23pm. They discovered one hectare of gorse alight, which was extinguished using two off-road Land Rovers, one hose reel jet and beaters.
