A SHOP worker was allegedly hit with a bottle of wine and suffered deep cuts to his hand after he attempted to stop a suspected shoplifter.
Police were called to the Co-op store, near Bournemouth station in Holdenhurst Road, at 2.13pm on Thursday April 2.
It had been reported that the alleged victim was a member of staff who had confronted a man for allegedly stealing a bottle of wine and was then reportedly struck with the bottle, causing a deep laceration to his hand.
