MORE than 40 people in Dorset have now died after contracting coronavirus, latest figures from NHS England has confirmed.
41 people have died in total, 13 under the care of the Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, 15 under the care of the Poole Hospital Trust, four at the Dorset Healthcare University NHS Trust and nine at Dorset County Hospital.
The latest death at RBCH came on April 6. Another person passed away on April 5, two died April 3, one on April 2 and two on April 1.
Six people died between March 25 and March 30.
At Poole Hospital, the latest death also came on April 6. Three people died the day before, on April 5.
April 4 and April 3 both saw two deaths. Seven people died between March 26 and March 31.
Two people died on April 4 while under the care of the Dorset Healthcare University NHS Foundation Trust.
One person died on April 2 and the first death there came on March 25.
At Dorset County Hospital, the latest death came on April 6.
Before that, there was a death on April 4, April 3, April 1, March 27, March 26, March 25 and March 24.
The first recorded death in Dorset came at the Dorset County Hospital on March 21.
