GLORIOUS Easter bonnets were on parade in Poole when the Longfleet Age Concern Pop-in centre opened its doors.
Traditional bonnets covered in rabbits, eggs, fluffy chickens and colourful flowers made the judges' task a difficult one on April 16, 1990.
But eventually the judges, who include Poole's then-Mayor, Cllr Mary Ballam, decided that Alice Davis's creation deserved to win.
Mrs Davis spent the morning searching her garden to provide the fresh flowers for her Easter bonnet.
"It's got witch hazel, rosemary, bluebells, lily-of-the valley, wallflowers all out of the garden," she said.
"It didn't take long to make, I just used whatever I had."
It was the second time in dour years that Mrs Davis's hats caught the judges' eyes in the parade.
