ALFORNO Ovens founders have set up a fundraiser to support Bournemouth Hospital and its staff by offering free pizza from charitable donations.
'Give a Slice of Love' provides NHS workers in Bournemouth Hospital a lovingly made pizza every Wednesday, the first delivery having taken place on April 8.
William Frampton and Alex Reay decided to use their knowledge of the pizza business to provide the completely not-for-profit pizza to the hard-working staff at Bournemouth Hospital.
The pair set up a gofundme page for donations and embarked on a pizza-making crash course, courtesy of their chef connections.
Alex explained their inspiration: "All of these people are on the frontline risking their lives for us. It's just a little thing we're doing really, but we have a lot of respect for the NHS staff.
"Everyone deserves some pizza."
Alex and William hope to make 1000 pizzas for Bournemouth NHS staff over the coming weeks and will be delivering 100 pizzas every Wednesday to the hospital for them to be distributed amongst staff.
The pair hope that this "small gesture" will brighten up the day of at least one person.
Alex said: "We all love the NHS, but we do take it for granted. Doing this brings people together. If we support our local hospitals and communities we can lift people's spirits. We will do anything to support the NHS."
Alex and William are asking businesses and individuals alike to donate to their campaign to help them provide a pizza to NHS staff.
