THE mayor of Bournemouth has paid tribute to community workers, volunteers and hospital staff workoing through the Covid-19 outbreak.
Cllr Susan Phillips, who is currently working remotely, has already suspended her community engagements due to the virus.
She said: “I would like to recognise and pay tribute to all the volunteers and community heroes for all they continue to do and for those who have stepped and increased their efforts, reached out to others with compassion and care at this difficult time.
“From the groups I met, what amazed me was how many from the hospital. Without them, Bournemouth would not exist.”
