MOTORISTS venturing out for non-essential journeys have been warned that officers will be out and about this weekend policing the lockdown.
It comes as officers were called to deal with a group of people from Luton who had travelled down to visit Bournemouth beach this week.
Posting on their Facebook page, Dorset Traffic Cops said the group were "dealt with robustly" and their vehicles also seized - because they had no insurance.
The officers have been speaking to drivers since lockdown was introduced.
They also seized a motorbike after arresting a driver for driving while disqualified and failing to stop for officers.
And they confiscated a knife from man visiting Boscombe from Pennington who said he was trying to find a halal butchers, but was nowhere near the high street.
A Kubotan - self defence keychain - was seized from a man 'who had no reason for having it and was visiting a friend'.
Both were reported to court.
