HOUSEHOLDERS across Dorset are being urged to be considerate to their neighbours as people spend more time at home.
They have warned that excessive noise and bonfires could cause disputes and lead to problems during the lockdown.
"Many people are working at home so you should be considerate about the level of noise you create" said a spokesman for Dorset Council. "Consider the impact you might have on your neighbours because of directed noisy activities or through party walls."
The council suggests reducing the volume on TVs, gaming and music and also suggests the use of headphones.
People should be considerate in the timing of their DIY activities and to stop their dogs from excessively barking.
In relation to bonfires, people are being told to let neighbours know if you are planning to burn garden waste and to ensure the waste is dry. They are being asked to consider composting instead and also being warned they should never burn household waste.
