Police are urging people to stay at home after a number of emergency service staff were called to a car crash.
North and East Dorset Rural Police were called by the ambulance service just after 9.30pm on Friday night after a car crashed into a tree.
A spokesman for North and East Dorset Rural Police said: "Three paramedics, five police officers, one doctor, all the A&E staff, recovery agent. All these resources because the driver of this car couldn't stay at home during this tough time.
"Stay at home."
Dorset Police were called by the South Western Ambulance Service at 9.38pm to attend the crash on West Moors Road, Ferndown.
The driver was a local man who sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital. He is assisting police with inquiries into motoring offences.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said: "He didn't need to be out."
