A FURTHER 744 people who tested positive for Covid-19 have died in the past 24 hours, NHS England has said.
The total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England now stands at 11,005.
The patients were aged between 34 and 102 years old. NHS England said 58 of the 744 patients - who were aged between 38 and 96-years-old - had no known underlying health condition. Their families have been informed.
London had the highest number of deaths with 206.
A total of 25 of the patients died in hospitals in the South West.
