MAGISTRATES jailed a man for 18 weeks after he admitted assaulting a woman by beating her.
Martin David Allan, 31, of Nutley Way, Bournemouth, pleaded guilty to committing the offence on April 7 in Bournemouth.
He appeared before Poole magistrates the following day and was also handed a restraining order and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £122.
