THE death toll in Dorset has remained at 81, no change over the last 24 hours, NHS England has confirmed.
34 people have died at the Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals, 24 at Poole Hospital, 19 at Dorset County Hospital and four under the care of the Dorset Healthcare University NHS Foundation Trust.
In England, 740 more people have died in hospitals after contracting coronavirus.
This takes the overall figure to 12,396.
A statement from NHS England said: "Patients were aged between 28 and 103 years old.
"40 of the 740 patients (aged between 45 and 93 years old) had no known underlying health condition.
"Their families have been informed."
