A 29-YEAR-OLD man who admitted assaulting a woman by beating her was handed a restraining order by Poole magistrates.
Joseph John Hurd of Garsdale Close in Bournemouth admitted committing the offence in Bournemouth on September 13 last year.
He also pleaded guilty to failing to surrender to custody in Poole on January 6 when he appeared in court on April 9.
He was also made the subject of a community order with a rehabilitation activity requirement and an order to carry out 45 hours of unpaid work.
Magistrates also ordered him ot pay £100 compensation and £85 costs.
