A FURTHER 784 people who tested positive for Covid-19 have died in the past 24 hours, NHS England has said.
The total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England has risen to 13,918.
Patients were aged between 26 and 100 years old.
Out of the 784 patients, 38 of them – aged between 44 and 96 years old - had no known underlying health condition.
Their families have been informed.
A total of 42 deaths were recorded in hospitals in the South West.
London recorded the highest number of deaths with 221.
