A FURTHER 482 people have died after testing positive for Covid-19, NHS England has announced this afternoon.

The total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England has risen to 14,400.

NHS England said the patients were aged between 34 and 104-years-old.

Six of the 482 patients - aged between 52 and 92 years old - had no known underlying health condition.

A spokesperson said: “Their families have been informed.”

In the UK, a total of 596 people have died in the past 24 hours, taking the total to 16,060. 

The Department for Health and Social Care said that as of 9am on Sunday, 482,063 tests have been concluded with 21,626 tests carried out on Saturday.

372,967 people have been tested of which 120,067 tested positive.
