IS it just possible that the Covid-19 virus outbreak and its severe implications could give us the opportunity to review the totally cavalier decision to close the acute A&E unit and maternity unit at Poole Hospital and transfer these crucial units to Bournemouth Hospital?
Decisions made in haste with very little thought for the future must make it essential that this decision must be challenged vigorously.
The Covid-19 virus appeared with little warning and must surely act as a wake-up call to those who make decisions with little thought for the majority of the population. How anyone can consider one acute A&E for some 680,000 must surely come out into the open in an attempt to explain this and even they must realise that the Covid-19 episode may well occur again in the future.
