FOR MANY weeks, there have been many a speculation regarding mysterious, moving lights in the sky.
Dorset residents have expressed their intrigue, with lots of conjecture as to what these reoccurring lights are.
Some initially believed they were UFOs while others leaned towards the possibility of them being space equipment such as satellites, or simply an anomaly.
Before discovering that these lights are in fact Elon Musk's SpaceX satellites, lots of our readers shared their thoughts.
Bournemouth resident Ian Stuteley said: "I saw these lights a couple of weeks back. The lights move in a straight line, about 800 metres apart and there was about 15 of them. The last time I saw them was around 9:30pm over Westbourne on April 19, heading towards Poole.
"We think it has something to do with the Starlink satellites."
Martin Farnfield also saw the satellites on April 19, flying from the west to the east at 9pm.
Bryan Weir initially thought the mysterious lights were a procession of airplanes crossing the sky from the continent.
He said: "I was sitting in my back garden at 9:30pm enjoying the piece and quiet, only to see a procession of airplanes. They kept coming for about 15 minutes, evenly spaced in a straight line. Their lights were showing, but there was no noise so it was a rather surreal sight. There must have been over 50 of them in total.
"But, my conspiracy theories and hopes have been scuppered. My neighbour's son, who is pilot, tells me they are Starlink satellites."
With the mystery finally resolved, people across the nation are enjoying keeping their eyes to the skies to watch the satellites.
The satellites will continue passing over the UK this week, usually between 9-10pm.
