SUSPECTS found with 85 boxes of anti wrinkle cream told police it was for their own personal use.
Surprised officers from the Dorset Police No Excuse Team asked: "How much anti wrinkle cream does a 30-year-old need?" after stopping a vehicle in north Dorset yesterday.
When officers stopped the vehicle, travelling through Dorset from Yeovil, they found a large blue trolley bag in the boot, which contained the cream and a new electric toothbrush.
A spokesman said officers believe the pair may have been on their way to exchange the goods for illegal drugs.
The driver and passenger were detained on suspicion of shoplifting.
They will also be dealt with for breaching COVID 19 regulations.
