A MAN is due to appear in court today in relation to an alleged assault in Christchurch.
As reported, police were called to a report of a disturbance at a property in Lineside, Burton, in which two women had allegedly been assaulted with a knife on Tuesday night.
The women, aged in their 20s and 40s respectively, were both taken to hospital for treatment.
Police officers conducted a search of the local area. A 22-year-old local man was arrested.
Yesterday afternoon, a Dorset Police spokeswoman said a 22-year-old Christchurch man had been charged with two counts of grievous bodily harm and breach of a restraining order.
He is due to appear at Poole Magistrates’ Court today.
A cordon remained in place around a property in Lineside yesterday as police investigations continued.
Residents reported hearing the NPAS helicopter shortly before midnight on Tuesday.
