A MAN has been handed a suspended sentence by the courts after driving a car without a licence.
Lee Roderick Cadman, aged 48 and of Wimborne Road, Bournemouth, was stopped by police in Downton Road, Salisbury, on December 10, 2019, while at the wheel of a Ford Focus.
Appearing at Poole Magistrates' Court on Saturday, April 18, Cadman admitted that he did not hold a licence to drive.
The court heard he had been refused a licence in 2015 and never been granted one since that point.
District judge Stephen Nicholls handed Cadman a four-week prison sentence suspended for six months.
The defendant was also ordered to pay a £122 surcharge and his driving record was endorsed.
Cadman received no separate penalty for driving without insurance, although he was disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for six months.
