A MAN has been banned from driving after being caught at the wheel on the M27 without car insurance.
Michael Barry Birt, aged 49 and of Richmond Park Road, Bournemouth, admitted driving a VW Golf on the Hampshire motorway on October 31, 2019, without having a valid insurance policy.
Appearing at Poole Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, April 22, Birt was fined £200 and ordered to pay £100 costs and a £32 surcharge.
He was disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for six months and his driving record was endorsed.
