Orthopaedic surgeon Nick Fiddian operated in fine form on the golf course on April 26, 2000, stitching up the opposition.
The Poole-based consultant and secretary of the British Orthopaedic Association won the southern heat of a competition at Ferndown Golf Course.
The event was staged by The Wishbone Trust, which raises funds for orthopaedic surgery research.
Trust spokeswoman Cherry Chappell said: "We're running or first national golf tournament - surgeons, patients and their supporters are all playing.
"This is the third of 10 regional heats - 15 teams played and Nick's team won."
