A POOLE woman who stole food, hair care products, clothing and alcohol worth hundreds of pounds has been given a suspended prison sentence.
Jessica Jade Beswick was convicted of five charges of theft and one of driving without insurance when she appeared before Poole magistrates.
She denied stealing food to the value of less than £200 from Marks and Spencer in Christchurch on September 3 last year but was found guilty.
Beswick, 28, of Apple Close, admitted stealing clothing worth more than £200 from two Hampshire branches of JD Sports, one of stealing £156 worth of clothing from Next in Bournemouth, another of stealing hair care products worth £63 from Superdrug in Christchurch and one of stealing three bottles of alcohol from Sandford Service Station near Wareham.
She also pleaded guilty to driving with no insurance in Southampton. The offences were committed between July 17 last year and January 19 this year.
Beswick was handed a 12-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, and ordered to pay a total of £256 compensation. She was also banned from driving for six months
