STAFF from Royal Bournemouth and musicians from across Dorset have come together to produce a charity single in aid of Bournemouth Hospital Charity’s #NHSHeroes Appeal.
The group called ‘The Collective’ wrote the song ‘Hidden Angels’ to celebrate the outstanding work and commitments of all staff within the NHS, during the coronavirus outbreak.
Members managed to remotely collaborate to write, record and produce a song to raise funds for the appeal for The Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Group member Andrea Holloway said: “The idea for the single came via a series of messages between Thomas Morse and Andrea Holloway, on the back of a Facebook group - Gigs From The Lounge - created by Thomas.
“The lyrics were written within 48 hours, co-written by Helena Mace, Matt Black, Carla Santos and me, and the music evolved over the next few days crafted by Matt Black and Dave Arcari.
“Helena sings the track with emotional feeling and understanding, and the video which accompanies the poignant words was created by Thomas Morse with input from Pete Holloway and me.”
The song is currently available to download from Bandcamp for a minimum donation of £2 which will go to the appeal and will be available from various music streaming sites.
